De komst van het asielzoekerscentrum in klooster Bethanië moet doorgaan.

Waarom is het belangrijk?
Op 13 september vindt in Venlo een demonstratie plaats tégen de komst van een asielzoekerscentrum. Met onze tegendemonstratie én deze petitie willen we duidelijk maken dat asielzoekers hier wél welkom zijn. We laten een ander, menselijk geluid horen:
- Iedereen heeft recht op onderdak, veiligheid en een toekomst.
- Asiel is een fundamenteel mensenrecht.
- Elk kind verdient het om op te groeien met bescherming en onderwijs.
- Geen mens is illegaal.
Wij zeggen volmondig JA tegen het AZC. Samen staan we op tegen haat, en samen strijden we vóór rechtvaardigheid.

Why is this important?
On September 13, a demonstration will take place in Venlo against the establishment of an asylum seekers’ center. With our counter-demonstration and this petition, we want to make it clear that asylum seekers are welcome here. We want to raise a different, humane voice:
- Everyone has the right to shelter, safety, and a future.
- Asylum is a fundamental human right.
- Every child deserves to grow up with protection and education.
- No human being is illegal.
We say a wholehearted YES to the asylum center. Together we stand up against hate, and together we fight for justice.
